Norma is passionate about community service & civic duties in her adopted home town of San Francisco. She has been a NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team) member since 2006. You too can learn how to prepare & get trained as a NERT member.
She participates in Music Is Good Medicine, a unique program of UCSF Spiritual Care Services offering the joy of music to those who need it most.
Because she shares a strong connection with animals, Norma has served as “Guinea Pig whisperer” at the Animal Connection in San Francisco since 2010.
In her “day job,” Norma works as Office Coordinator @ the Shanti/PAWS Program, a rich and fulfilling community of like-minded people who like to have fun and make the world a better place at the same time.
Finally, Norma is known for giving back to her community through Street Singing. In the spring and summertime she can be seen from time to time singing in front of her friend’s music store, Haight Ashbury Music.
