August 2011, Norma was accepted into the volunteer program of “Music Is Good Medicine” to offer comfort & support with her singing voice once a week, faithfully guided by Chaplain Pegi Walker, MGM Program Coordinator.
Music Is Good Medicine is a unique program of UCSF Spiritual Care Services offering the joy of music to those who need it most. This program is generously supported by the Rankin Booster Grant from UCSF Partners in Care.
Norma Diana had a calling to be of spiritual service in 2004 and took her ordination vows at universalministries.com. As she continues on her path to discover the many directions to take with her ministry of goodwill and kindness, “Music Is Good Medicine” beautifully expands on her spiritual service community goals. And in November 2012, Norma was invited by the Rev. Dr. Michele Shields, Director of UCSF Spiritual Care Services to become a Eucharistic Minister Volunteer for the UCSF Med Center’s Pediatric & Adult in-patient Catholic Community. Faithfully offering Healing Spiritual Prayers and Communion Services. A Blessing and a privilege further expanding her spiritual path and growth.
