Music Is Good Medicine

This past August, Norma was accepted into the volunteer program of “Music Is Good Medicine” to offer comfort & support with her singing voice once a week.

Music Is Good Medicine is a unique program of UCSF Spiritual Care Services offering the joy of music to those who need it most. This program is generously supported by the Rankin Booster Grant from UCSF Partners in Care.

Norma Diana had a calling to be of spiritual service in 2004 and took her ordination vows at universalministries.com. As she continues on her path to discover the many directions to take with her ministry of goodwill and kindness, “Music Is Good Medicine” beautifully expands on her spiritual service community goals.

 

 


‘Mamacita’ lives on and prospers…

Following 2004′s first film placement, Norma Diana’s Spanish lyric contribution on the song ‘Mamacita’ song has flourished with a couple of years of successful licensing & background music placement on national TV shows through LoveCat Music, such as: Desperate Housewives (2005), Malcolm in the Middle (2005), MTV’s Real World (2005) along with a few others. Culminating with her first screen credit in the 2008 Disney film “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” Norma’s small effort has opened some big doors in the background music industry to further her explore her songwriting goals.

Norma Featured in “Great Recycling Moments Campaign”

Norma was featured in SF Environment and Recology’s “Great Recycling Moments Campaign.” Their campaign highlights great recycling moments — the kind of moments that happen in people’s lives every day all over the city — and features the true stories of five residents. In The Movies: Norma Diana’s latin vocal work featured in The Whole Ten Yards!
